The Challenge of Zero Emission in Aviation

Updated: Aug 19

Air travel is a growing source of CO2 emission globally. It's a great challenge for any country with the goal of zero emission.

Data indicates:  1. North America is expected to be remain the biggest source of airplane emission.

                          2. India shall be globally at 5th position with highest increase > 6 folds.

                            3. China & Africa shall be 3rd & 6th with approx. increase by 300%.

Methodology to reduce

1) Use cleaner fuels-

Use biofuels, which are made from renewable resources like waste products or plants, instead of traditional jet fuel.

2) Improve aircraft efficiency-

Make aircraft more aerodynamic by redesigning the outer hull, use lighter materials, and optimize flight routes. You can also use more efficient air traffic control procedures.

3) Employ emissions control-

Use advanced techniques to capture harmful gases like methane, CO2, and NOx.
